Mr. Momodou Sarr is a distinguished Islamic scholar, educator, and community leader with extensive academic and professional credentials. He holds an LLB in Shariah and Law from the University of Khartoum, Sudan, and a Diploma in Shariah Judiciary from Imam Muhammad bin Saud University, Saudi Arabia.

A prominent figure in religious leadership, his contributions to Islamic governance include his tenure as Secretary General of the Gambia Supreme Islamic Council and membership in the Gambia Hajj Commission.

Mr. Sarr is also a founding member of the Shariah Advisory Board of the Arab Gambian Islamic Bank and the Gambia League of Islamic Arabic, where he continues to contribute as Assistant Secretary General for Administration. 

Widely respected for his leadership, Mr. Sarr has participated in numerous Islamic and academic conferences, both locally and internationally, fostering interfaith dialogue and education reform.
